Closing entries, events that run until you close them, and when entrants' personal details are deleted automatically.
Entries close on the date you set under Registration closes in Settings, or once the event is full if you set a Maximum number of entrants. Unpublish takes the page down altogether.
Close event, under How long it runs, marks the event as finished. For an event with no end date, that is what starts the clock on deleting its entrants' details. Reopen event undoes it.
Personal details are deleted automatically a set number of days after the event finishes: 90 unless you change it, under Auto-delete personal data after (days) in Settings. Medical notes, contacts and answers go. Names and sail numbers stay, so results still make sense.
You are emailed about a week before it happens, and again once it has.
Nothing is deleted from an event that runs until I close it while it is still open. Every so often we email to ask whether it is still running. Press Confirm it is still running to say yes, or close it when it is over.
Delete event, at the foot of Settings, deletes the event with every entry, every answer and the payment records. It cannot be undone. Export anything you need first.
