Entry classes and fleets
Classes and fleets, crewed boats, a price per class, grouping classes, and classes only some people can enter.
An entry class is what somebody enters under: a fleet such as Topper or ILCA 6, a division, or anything else you split entries by. Classes live in Settings, under Entry classes.
- Class name and Base price. The price is charged once per entry, on top of any event-wide entry fee.
- People / entry. Two or more makes it a crewed class. One person enters the whole boat in one go, and every member of the crew gets a tally band of their own.
- Who it's for. An optional line shown under the name and price.
- Group. Classes sharing a group are shown together on the public page. An OnBoard Topper fleet and a championship Topper fleet stay two separate fleets this way, on the tally board and on the beach.
- Restrict entry to an approved email list. Only somebody who gives an email address on your list can enter that class. Manage entry list takes addresses pasted straight from a spreadsheet or an email.
Classes matter on the day: the tally board splits who is still out by fleet, and the beach master holds or releases each class on its own.
Somebody turned up in a different boat? Do not enter them again. Use Change class on their entry; see Managing entries.
