People and roles

Invite committee members and volunteers to help run your organisation, and what owners, admins and members can each do.

People lists everyone who can sign in and work on your organisation. The organisation owns its events, forms and payments, so people can come and go without any of that changing hands.

• Owner: Everything, including handing the organisation to somebody else. There is one owner.
• Admin: Everything except changing who the owner is: inviting and removing people, and the organisation's setup.
• Member: Work on every event, form and page the organisation has. Cannot invite or remove people.

Inviting someone

In People, under Invite someone, enter their email address, choose a role and send. They get an email with a link to join. Invitations waiting to be used are listed under Pending invitations, with when each one expires.

Standing down

The owner can use Make owner to hand the club to someone else. Its events, forms and payments stay exactly where they are.

Access to one event only

For a coach, a race officer or a visiting helper who needs one event and nothing else, do not add them here. Use the event's own access list. See Giving someone access to one event.

If you help run more than one organisation, a switcher at the top of the admin moves between them.
